Mission Statement

NCBS exists to promote academic excellence and social responsibility in the discipline of Africana/Black Studies through the production and dissemination of knowledge, professional development and training, and advocacy for social change and social justice.

Vision Statement

NCBS endeavors to create an activist scholarly community that ensures Africana/Black Studies is valued and readily available to all and this knowledge is used for positive transformation of individuals, families, neighborhoods, social institutions, and the world community.
